Click Read More/Comment for additional pictures. For those of you who missed out this Sunday for the Pop Souk event, (http://urbanbushbabes.com/?p=9307) then this detailed behind the scenes look is just for you! Pop Souk is a fashion market extravaganza created by the amazing multi-media artist, iconic fashionista and “Grand Duchess of NYC Nightlife” Ladyfag. The event was held at the Hiro Ballroom at the Maritime Hotel in NY and sponsored by Style Like U( http://stylelikeu.com/) and OAK (http://www.oaknyc.com/home). The 3,600 sq ft venue was transformed into a vintage, designer-thrift shopper’s Alice and Wonderland fantasy, where you could buy clothing and accessories from some of New York’s most incredible designers and connoisseurs of fashion, selling from their very own personal closets and stores, all while listening to great music from a bevy of DJ’s. The best part of the event by far was meeting so many amazing people with killer style and attitudes.
*Really wanted those who could not make it to feel as if they didn’t miss a thing but if you missed this go around, no worries, there will be another Pop Souk event in the spring! Until then enjoy the behind the scenes exclusive

Ladies there is only one reason why this man has his hands all over my booty and that is because he is my long term boyfriend
My Love
Designers, Sellers & Buyers Oh My!
How fly is this couple!
Her jean jacket is amazing over this chiffon flowered dress
This extraordinary woman is Ladyfag, a New York City based writer, performer, and nightlife personality as well as Pop Souk founder. Besides having the most amazing headwrap, Ladyfag was also selling the most amazing jewelry. My boyfriend brought me this necklace:
which is actually made from paper clips and burnt colored plastic. When first viewing the necklace I thought the plastic was turquoise. This necklace was made from a prisoner which is part of the prison art foundation.
Another fly couple and checkout her sneakers which she custom designed herself! Such talent because they are simply FIRE!!!
Not only did this beautiful dancer have the most wonderful energy but also had some of the most wonderful vintage pieces! Such as:
100% silk fringe olive green shirt for 10 dollars and this
leather tapestry drawstring purse, for 10 dollars as well, so you know I had to…
purchase both at such a steal!
Tarah purchased theses trio cross dangling earrings
Designer Domonique E Cheverria http://domoniqueecheverria.blogspot.com/ has the most amazing wearable couture pieces at not your typical couture prices! Here are a few of Domonique’s pieces
Beaded Rib cage piece and long sheer navy blue, backless rose dress with face hood
Would wear both of these looks but on a side note definitely think they are sisters, maybe even twins.
I have always had a partial infatuation with half shaved heads on women, also feelin this woman’s neck piece.
From Sweden, has a very cool and tomboyish appeal
Also from Sweden, love the mix of green knits
Major jacket love
Love the pink hair and denim bag with this look
On the hunt for a well fitted trench coat like this one
The blue hat and polka dot shoes really add the spice to this attire
Loooooove the Aztec pattern of the shirt with the pattern of the purse for a pop of color
I of course had to take a picture of this woman’s hair. Love the hairstyle.
ill earring/nose ring
Luckily Francheska wears a smaller size shoe or I will steal her red fringe boots right off her feet!
Freedom of personal style is a beautiful expression
