Click Read More/Comment for additional pictures. On Wednesday January 25th we had the pleasure to attend the Style Like U and Tucker 2012 Spring/Summer Collection preview party in New York. The festivities took place at the first flagship store opened in 2011 by the designer of the Tucker line, Gaby Basora. A plethora of colors, lines and shapes the 2012 spring/summer collection transformed into endless hypnotizing patterns with hints of dream like states and no wonder, with the name of the line, Tucker coming to fruition in a dream Basora once had. The price tag of the Tucker line is neither small change or couture prices but if you are looking for flawless well cut staple pieces that will last, Tucker could be your answer.
Later that evening we had a chance to meet and chat a bit with the Founders of Style Like U Elisa GoodKind and Lily Mandelbaum. Style Like U is one of our most adored sites so you can only imagine how pleased we were to finally meet the founders and find the essence of Style Like U generates from the passion of two genuinely spirited women who celebrate and showcase the uniqueness and beauty of others through style visuals and media that is beyond the labels and commercialized propaganda.
While previewing the collection we danced the night away to music spun by Louie XIV, one of the dopest DJ’s in New York, enjoyed delicious ice tea and lemonade cocktails and conversed with an abundance of amazing individuals, Style Like U muses and notable artists.
