The song kind of remind me of the 80s. The video and song is not bad, but I didn’t like the way she was dancing in the video. It was kind of cheesy to me. I like the wig/weave she was rocking, though! She kind of look like she was channeling Jody Whatley, only with shorter hair.

I have a problem with the video, mostly because she is exorbitantly wealthy, and the video reminds me of something white hipsters would do, i.e. make a music video in an impoverished area showcasing wealthy style which contradicts the poverty of the locals. it’s not deep. several fashion companies have come under scrutiny recently for doing a similar type of thing…and just because she’s black doesn’t mean she’s not basically dynasty b/c of her wealth. like shes taking a vacation in a really poor area and taking pics idk. i rly like solange, but this video really rubs me the wrong way.
