Behind the Scenes of Bordertown

Click Read More+Comment for additional pictures. For the past week singer/lyricist/ songwriter, TK Wonder has been in Portsmouth, England shooting music video, ‘Bordertown’ by Horx and ShadowChild.

Directed by Joe Wright, lyrics by TK Wonder, ‘Bordertown’ not only brings a new visionary element to cinematography but takes a look at illegal border crossing through the eyes of immigrants.

Soon to be released here is a behind the scenes look at Bordertown.

  Thanks Angel, the photos I have to thank Nina Poppy! She really took alot of great shots from the music video shoot. I discovered Dominique Renee’s line and absolutely fell in love. Her jewelry and nails are colorful and fun but can be worn to dress up or down. Love.

We NEED a video interview with sis soon and she has to talk about what she does with that hair! LOL!

I need to check her music out though! I want to see this video, the concept is intriguing. She looks like she really gets out there and makes it happen!

  Ha! Most of the time I just experiment with my hair, pinning it up, etc to see what works. I was happy with the turnout of this look for the video.

As a child and younger adult, I always favoured contemporary western dresses, fabrics and jewellery but there is something about the UBB site and these pics that has made me fall so in love with my native fabrics, styles and dressings. (I am Nigerian but reside in London) I wish I kept all the fabrics and textiles I got for free in my teenage years. You look so lovely and inspiring TK. Cant wait to see the fall video. Love everything about the pics, from the make-ups, jewellery and everything. Great Jobs girls. Wish u d best.

  Thank-you Monniej! The music video is going to be in black & white so I had to find clothing with defined patterns with dark and light contrast. So I think this print will look great in black & white.

That hairstyle is Aamaaazing. Was it done in a similar way to the Nefertiti hill/high top? I always love the combo of colours and patterns in your outfits- can’t wait for the final vid.

  Thank-you Browndusk! I actually came up with that style on the fly. The hairstyle consists of parting my hair in sections and forming large ball like formations then connection the formations to each other with bobby pins. As you can probably gather I’m a sucker for colorful clothing, accessories and clothing with distinct patterns. Happy to hear you like the combos.
