Thank you for sharing! That was amazing! Definitely a side to Diana Ross I was not aware of.
Candice your welcome! I wasn’t aware of this side of her as well! My sister found this video and I was like damn! I just had to share!!!
Yes what a surprise to find! I love it and glad you posted it!
Seriously love Ms. Ross!
She’s and her daughter Tracee are my biggest hair idols!
Say What??!!!! Over here Cheesin’!!! This is ridiculously Fabulous!!!!
I love the angles of her body!
Awesome! She’s so birdlike yet strong! Work. It.
Awesome find!!! : )
Cip-Cip, I love you, you know I do, but (sigh) I have to say this…There is no such things as “African” dance. Miss Ross seems to have been inspired by Senegalese moves in this video and she got some of the moves on point. Africa is so grand and diverse that everytime it is generalized I wince a bit. In my country alone they are about 20 different traditional dances, so imagine the whole of Africa.
Hello fierce rounded afro, Miss Ross has style, no doubt about it.
Lol and I love you too. Well to be honest I just copied and pasted the title from Youtube so yes this title is generalizing but since I am not aware of all the traditional dances, thank you for letting me know. Much much appreciated Flore ;D <3 <3 <3
Like Ndobolo? guuuuurl. No I know the issue is rooted in the Youtube title. It’s just I love Africa so much, and I love being Cameroonian, Togolese and Beninese. I get so much from those three countries alone.
Lol and I love you too. Well to be honest I just copied and pasted the title from Youtube so yes this title is generalizing but since I am not aware of all the traditional dances, thank you for letting me know. Much much appreciated Flore ;D I use to take Congolese dance classes long ago and I loved it! <3 <3 <3
This is wonderful to watch. The divine Ms Ross is such a goddess!
Though, I agree with the previous comment, the labelling of the video was a bit cliched. There are literally thousands of traditional ‘african dances’ belonging to the hundreds of ethnic groups all over Africa.
Here’s a fun modern afro pop video featuring a traditional dance called Etighi from the Calabar region of southern Nigeria. Calabar people stand up! lol
Wow!! That was all kinds of dope! Thanks so much for sharing!
Wow! I had no idea this side of Diana existed. I saw her a couple of months ago in my local health food store in Los Angeles with her daughter, Tracey Ross. She still looked lean and strong although much slower. Fabulous video!
AMAZIIiiNG!!! Everything about this was stunning…..what a beautiful creature lol
I saw this when I was a kid… now I have a new appreciation the Senegalese-inspired moves. She is awe-mazing! Then to intermingle her fabulous self in stills — well, presentation is myth. This is why Ms. Ross, is who she is… she’s done it all masterfully!
