You two are so AMAZING. I can’t take it! I have been having a hard time retaining length over the past few years and didn’t even know sealing ends was something I should have been doing! Any way, since you posted your 6 Quick Steps to Sealed Ends entry a few days ago, I’ve been sealing my ends and have already noticed a difference in the health of my ends. Thanks for saving my hair’s life!
Thank you so much PatC. You are amazing! You just put the biggest smile on my face, thank you again but I really wish you could truly know how happy it makes Nikisha and I when something we share works for someone else! It’s like an early Christmas, lol. I can definitely relate to not even thinking about sealing my ends years ago. Ooooh it wasn’t good for my hair! Thank you again and wishing you much success with your hair. I hope we can continue to help :DDD
Woot woot!Yes, Cipriana is right! It’s an early Christmas gift for us to hear we are helping.Thank you for the love and we send it right back to you Pat!i
Let me tell you guys how this is the best video ever. I’m about to go seal my ends right now. Something I also never do and I definitely need to start. I LOVE you guys !!!
Yes! Go and seal those ends girl! We were guilty of the exact same thing but once we started, never looked back, lol. We love you and thank you so much ;D
Yayy! So happy that it was informative @jorian! We love you too!
my hair is more similar to nikisha’s and i wear it down all the time. when is her sealing video coming out?
Hi Karyn! We will be posting the video on how I seal my ends next week.
Thank you. Been natural my whole life, but somethings I was unaware of…so now I can take better care of my hair…and hopefully get back the length I had as a child…*fingers crossed*
Your welcome and we were victims right there with you! Wishing you much success on your hair journey and keeping our fingers and toes crossed too ;)))
Your welcome Mnefarious.
Cipriana, I’ve never seen your hair in an afro state, but I bet you and Aevin Dugas might be tied for largest afro. What would you say?
you ladies are so awesome! what a great tutorial! i was glad to know that i was doing the sealing technique properly and the video confirmed that i’m on the right track. yay! can’t wait to see nikisha’s installment. i’m hoping that sealing my ends twice a week will help be retain some length. keep hope alive!
hiii i’m rastagyal243 from Paris (well near paris lol) excuse me for my bad english :/ i just wanted to say that your site is soooo cool you cant even imagine. nappy attitude phenomene is in france too. i dont really know how its in america if its well accepted but in france there are still people thinking yeaah her mother is white so she has great hair blablabla and in france we have a lot of carrebean people and in their culture the lighter your are the better you are..
I hope one day that people understand that being nappy is not like a fashion thing, its just accepting who you are. I repeat a lot but thaaaank you for your site full of information you become international lol french people(like me) have to tryy haaard to understand english but it worth it. i’m not on facebook but i’ll be on it soon maybe we’ll be friend !! i have to say some word in french even if you wont understand everything lol your turn to translaaate muhahahaha ! A très bientôt les Urbanbushbabes et bonne continuation je vous fais de gros bisous
Well first let me say your English is pretty darn good!!!! Thank you so much we just love Paris!!! I agree with you 100% Kinky textured hair is not a phase and there is still that backwards mentality in the states regarding what is “good” hair but for the most part the natural hair community is full of inspiring and uplifting women. As far as skin tone that type igornant mentality is unfortunately a reality but hopefully these people will wake up!!! When you join FB do find us and thank you again for your kind words. Much love and we will definitely continue!!! Big kisses back!!! ;D
Hey u guys, I was just wondering ..I usually add water to my hair then kinky curly leave in and then my oils ..I was wondering if that is incorrect b/c kinky curly is not a moisture based conditioner it has no water in the ingredients just found that out … just purchased karen body beautiful moisture based conditioner i think … are those the right steps water then leave in then oils ?????
So I viewed part two of sealing your ends and I was correct you do need a moisture based leave in …but I really like what kinky curly does for my curls idk how to implement this product into my regimen sigh ….
Naska, you could still use your favorite product even if it is not water based. Just make sure to saturate your hair with water before you use your Kinky Curly leave in. Products that are water based just hold that extra punch in moisturizing your hair and are great for touch ups in adding moisture during the week since they are water based.
thanx a lot Cipriana
