Click Read More/Comment for additional photos. On UBB we always love to keep you updated on coolest events in NY and if you are in the NY area tomorrow here is another one! Neekid Blk Gurls is a highly anticipated photo exhibit featuring an eclectic and talented group of photographers displaying beautiful works of the black female form shown artistically in an au natural state. The work that will be featured remains a mysterious but gathering from the names in which this exhibit has pulled together you will not be disappointed by the experience. Neekid Blk Gurls exhibit is curated by abstract painter and co- founder of the amazing Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, Danny Simmons (eldest brother of Russell Simmons and Reverend Run). The Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation’s http://www.rushphilanthropic.org/ describes their mission as an “organization that is dedicated to providing disadvantaged urban youth with significant arts exposure and access to the arts, and to offering exhibition opportunities for underrepresented artists and artists of color”. A mission I feel hits home to many of us in the art or just a lover of.

Neekid Blk Gurls exhibit’s opening reception will take place tomorrow December 8th, held at the Rush Arts Gallery in New York from 6-8PM.  This is a reception you will not want to miss but if your conflicting schedule won’t allow, no worries, the exhibit will run till January 27th 2012.
