Cipriana, I had to laugh about your subway mishap! I’m tall too( your height), and slapping on those heels makes me waaaay over 6 ft tall myself. I’m a tree limb ducker from way back(I live in the ‘urban suburbs’ of North Jersey, so if there were an Olympic event for tree branch ducking, I’d be on the team and a gold medalist), and I definitely feel your pain. Do you and Nikisha do meetups, because I would love to meet and hang with you two one day.
Geri, you are making me laugh so hard I am catching my breath, lol. I wholeheartedly feel like it could be an Olympic event!!!
We would love to meet you! Definitely want to host a meetup in NY soon and when we do we will post on the site asap
Good vid I read a while back that using coconut oil on your hair helps with porosity I have porous hair and I use Roux products, coconut oil, and aloe vera because it helps with PH balance. Cipriana I am going to try wearing the twists like you, do you ever take them out and wash your hair loose or do you wash your hair in the twists? Also how long do you wear te twist before you do them over?
Thank you Yes, I keep hearing raves about Aloe Vera. Sounds like something I may have to try.
I never wash my hair loose. When it comes to wash day I will braid my hair into 8, 10 or 12 large loose braids and proceed from there as for your other questions I go in depth of my full routine hear http://urbanbushbabes.com/?p=5479 and here http://urbanbushbabes.com/?p=5563. Just click the links
Dealing with porous hair is job, I use products that are PH balanced to help but I wish there was a “cure” for porous hair. Great vid keep up the good work.
I wish there was a cure for those with porous hair as well besides the alternative of cutting and starting anew if the high porosity issue was self induced and not from a genetic disorder. Thank you so much Lalabella :DDD
Cipriana that is one glorious updo lol. Like you I used to think my hair was highly porous jus because of how much shrinkaga I get when any droplet of water touches my hair, but it turns out I couldn’t have been more wrong.
My hair actually has ennoyingly low porousity, like seriously I’d slap on any type of moisture on there and it goes nowhere and 99% of the time does absolute nada, zero, nilch for my hair. but I’m learning lol. Nikisha I love your cardi.
Hahaha, thank you :DDD Yes, it was such a big surprise to find out my true porosity but as I become more aware and educated about my hair it completely makes sense now. I am normal porosity but wow low porosity hair can be a really good thing in terms of being more resistant to heat and the harsh elements but as you stated on the flip side harder to absorb products.
Thank you @52a74b26cb0e39179d4f4561fc8b8029:disqus , love my chunky cardis
When is the next video going up? I want more! Thanks for uploading this girls!
Pearl you are welcome and thank you for watching We will be loading up more videos very soon!
wow i never thought about porosity and how it can affect my hair. i am a bit confused i tried out the test twice (just in case) and the first time the hair strands sunk but the second time it floated.
what if it does not completely sink to the bottom (i used a shot glass) but kind of just below the surface. i dunno i just really want to know. i think my hair its kind of in the middle. def not low porosity.
Remember you have to wait a minute so the hair completely absorbs the water. If the hair doesn’t sink to the bottom then you are normal porosity. Plus your hair could have different levels of porosity!
when i move the hair strands a little they just sink but if i leave them alone they just float.
Try this test with one strand and see if this helps.
nikisha, how tall are you? you were wearing iKat pants in one post, and you rock them so well. i’m so short that i can’t even wear pants like that.
