I think this video is very helpful, especially for knowing what products are safe to use. Unfortunately for me, I’m currently studying, so the only thing I’ve been doing lately is getting braids. Thank the Lord that my aunty is a hairdresser and I’m blessed enough to get my hair done for free ^^ … But as soon as summer comes I feel I’ll have more time to tend to my hair.
Thank you @Chichi2:disqus :).Make sure you are keeping your hair moisturized while its braided :).
Awesome video! Quick question for you. Is it better to deep condition before you wash or after or does it even matter?
I’m not sure if it’s better to do it before or after because I haven’t found any research on it as of yet. I just do it before usually, because it helps detangle my hair :).
Are you sealing the ends after you shampoo & condition the hair? Or is this your regimen during the week? Also, is the rest of your hair dry while you seal your ends?
Hi @b0e415fa0c4b02d7eb0bde37289b4e96:disqus , I seal after I wash and condition. I also reseal throughout the week whenever my hair starts to get dry :).
I must thank you ladies again for taking the time to “school” us in how to care for our hair…I’ve been taking fish oil, moisturizing and sealing my hair as you’ve instructed. I drive a schoolbus so I’m out early in the morning (4am walking the dog) and late in the evening. Because of you my hair is not as dry as in the past and I’m starting to see my growth because there is less breakage. My hope is that you enjoy making your vids as much as we enjoy viewing them <3
Yaaay!!! Thank you @38920cc4e101fb1b1f29eaf241f67d71:disqus for sharing with us. Glad that our tips are helping you :). We appreciate you so much and we do enjoy making these videos. <3
Thanks ladies for educating me on your updated regimens. I have a unique blend of both of you ladies hair types and will be adding vegetable glycerin to my regimen, but only in the summer months as winters here tend to be pretty dry. I definitely need to moisturize more. We as naturals tend to forget that going natural is only half the battle, we also need to learn how to properly care for our delicate strands and these videos are helping me accomplish that. I even took notes on some of the products you guys use! Again thank-you so much! =)
Thank you so much for your support and thank you for sharing! And I agree, sometimes we do forget that going natural is only half the battle :).
Thank you both for the valuable information! Do you co-wash at all with your new regimen?
Your welcome @a30f7c978f58543921af687b61ab4d2e:disqus, I do not co-wash with my new regimen :).
How do you decide if you will moisturize with distilled water or aloe vera juice during the week?
I just randomly choose between the two :). I haven’t committed to just one yet ;).
Thank you so much for this video series because this winter air has been so harsh. It seemed like my hair growth slowed down and I was at a loss for ideas on how to switch things up. I also did fall off on my daily moisturizing, but I feel a renewed sense of purpose on my hair care regimen!
I’ve been the updo queen, but have found that bobby pins irritate my scalp. Can you offer any alternate tools for updos on medium/ almost-shoulder length hair?
Your welcome @Shak75:disqus :). Thank you so much for the love! I honestly don’t know another alternative to bobby pins other than those small hair combs that slide into your hair.
thank you so much for your videos!! They’re really great! I have been using olive oil as a hair treatment since childhood, but played around with other oils last summer just to test what’s good for my hair and what’s not. Some of them actually bleached my hair a little (rape seed oil, corn oil), so I am really happy about this video with all those great oil tips and explanations!! Keep up the good work!!
Thank you for watching @3d4892c5d290c3aa18ce7f888bcb63ea:disqus ! We are grateful for your support and hope we continue to give you awesome info!!!
Love the information about glycerin. I live in a place that is dry all year long (winter and summer) and will stear away from that now. Sure is nice to learn so much about taking care of my natural curls and look forward to my growth journey. :=) Thanks lovely ladies!!
Thank you for watching! Glad to hear you got some info from us! Muah!!!
great video and fantastic tips! i still have some tweaking to do with my product selection (still love my queen helene) , but i’m working on it!
Thank you @c051b31139695f0f2c3902160f5da61c:disqus , I’m still tweaking things myself, it’s all a process :).
