I haven’t been feeling well this past week. I believe I caught the flu bug that’s been going around, so I’ve been drinking this Ginger Turmeric tea and wanted to share it with you guys!
Ginger Turmeric tea is a great all natural remedy for a nasty cold or sinus infection. Ginger has antibiotic effects and can help digestion, detoxification, infections, inflammation, joint pain, circulation, nausea and motion sickness. Turmeric is a very strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It’s known to cleanse the whole body, especially the liver. It can be used to support digestion, treat fever, inflammation and infections. The active ingredient in turmeric is called curcumin. Pairing turmeric and black pepper helps to enhance the curcumin in turmeric by a thousand times, increasing its effectiveness. Lemon adds a boost of vitamin C.
Ginger Turmeric Tea (1 serving)
8 ounces hot water
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tablespoon raw honey

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Pinch ground cayenne pepper
Combine in a glass, stir. Let stand for a few minutes, stir again and sip.
