Click ‘Read More + Comment’ for additional photos. I had the chance to see English electronic music producer/singer/songwriter, James Blake, who performed at Terminal 5 in New York last week.

Trained as a pianist and singer since the tender age of 6, Blake drew inspiration not only from classical and jazz but American R&B, noting Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo and Sly Stone amongst his favorites. Hailing from London, with vocals effortlessly redefining the phrase, “as smooth as butter”, hauntingly mesmerizing, Blake transcends even his own recordings by sounding better live.

During the show I bumped into a familiar face, photographer, Seher Sikandar who took some  amazing  shots of James Blake during his performance.  If you are contemplating seeing Blake live, do not hesitate, his performance leaves no room for disappointment.
