Before you know it Fall will descend on us quicker than you can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious…ok, sorry for the Mary Poppins reference but I do love that movie, anywho, you get my drift. For those of you who are aware of my style, you know I am an avid and devoted vintage shopper, birthed during my childhood from weekly shopping excursions to Goodwill as a way to save on expenses. Now as an adult those memories have lasted a lifetime, heavily influencing in how I prefer to shop today. Fashion from past decades particularly the 70′s and 80′s hold a soft spot in my heart and I tend to be drawn to those eras, with that being said the point of all of this is I found one of the most amazing vintage shops in New York, where every piece is 10 dollars…yes, 10 dollars. Not only is every item exquisite but true vintage, and for many vintage lovers you know just how extraordinary this can be, especially since many bargain stores have a tendency to mix vintage and thrift. The dress featured here is one of my many vintage finds from this magical vintage shop, so stay tuned for an in-depth interview with the owner who hails from Atlanta, a behind the scenes look at her shop and more of my vintage purchases as part of my new series on great NY finds, featuring everything from vintage steals to brunch spots. Oh and did I mention she has one insane collection of old school records for only 5 dollars…I promise, location coming soon! For now here is a look at Last Days of Summer.
