While she is on tour I thought I would share her recent trip to Montenegro during a press circuit…

as well as her latest music video collaboration with UK based Shadow Child and Horx who featured TK Wonder on a single titled BorderTown. Lyrics by TK Wonder, she explains Bordertown is about “how people have to cross borders, (literally and metaphorically) crossing the line and doing something they don’t want to do but feel compelled to do in order to survive or take care of loved ones”. TK Wonder also includes a snippet of the lyrics;

Rap Verse:

Never thought he be destitute/ once resolute
Mama told him if not a brute then a better youth
Only saw the loot with sharks in the leather suits
And the honest made better loot was a lesser truth~~
Had to get his family dough/ when they truly living low
Do anything he know but not sell that snow
Hard to watch his kids grow/ in where they live so
jump a wall so know more then hearing word no~~

B-O-R-D-E-R town
B-O-R-D-E-R town
B-O-R-D-E-R town
B-O-R-D-E-R bordertown
This is the border that you must cross
If can’t afford ah then there’s a cost
Trapped in a corner then it’s your loss
This is the borda, this is the borda

Directed and produced by Joe Wright here is a look at Bordertown

Also electronic producer Andrea Moonchild used the sample from Bordertown as part of his OneSampleOneDay project which he creates a new track everyday using samples suggested to him for 30 days. Listen to the track here
