Thanks so much for this video! Do you have any other suggestions besides juicing specifically for a college student because I WISH i could buy that juicer but i can’t afford it and i really want to start eating healthier. Could I juice with just a regular blender or will it not give the same effect?
Hi @twitter-45146827:disqus , you can get the powdered greens from any health food store such as the Vitamin Shoppe, Whole Foods, etc…. Blenders are great to make smoothies, but they won’t give you juice from the veggies or fruits.
Wonderful video, thanks for posting! I am also on a tight student budget and there is no way I can afford a juicer at the present time, though i’ve wanted one for ages. But I just googled that Long Life Food Source stuff you recommended…..do you think that could serve as an alternative to juicing for someone on a budget even if it’s in powder form?
Also I had no idea multivitamins in pill form are not as effective! I take one as well as two flaxseed softgels everyday…apparently I need to change my whole regimen!
This is why i love you ladies, always so informative!
Thank you for watching!!! Juicing is the ultimate way to get essential vitamins because it’s fresh and straight from the source. But the next best thing is powdered greens. You can get other brands of powdered greens from stores like the Vitamin Shoppe :). xoxo
Great video, I can listen to you guys all day! Really inspired me to start juicing, which I’ve been thinking about for quite awhile. Quick question, got confused a bit. Do you juice with the Long Life Food stuff?
Thank you so much @SabahA:disqus . I do not juice with the Long Life powdered greens. I only use the powdered greens when I don’t have access to a juicer :).Muah!
Thank you very much!
Can you add things to the powdered greens to make it slightly more tolerable like citrus fruit or will that mess up the effectiveness? I tried to drink powdered drinks every morning for awhile but I just. couldn’t. do it.
You can add the greens to smoothies or your favorite juice, ex: apple juice!!!
Nikkisha, how often do you take the fish oil, how much do you take, and do you just drink it?
I take fish oil every morning, about a teaspoon full straight to the mouth! I just drink it :).
Love your website and all the information you lovely ladies provide!
About fish oil: when looking for fish oil, try looking for salmon oil. Some fish, especially tuna, contain high levels of mercury (methylmercury: a toxic heavy metal). Mercury accumulates in the body overtime because it is fat soluble.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t take fish oil, I’m just saying research which fish oil you take. Flax seed is a good alternative.
Thank you so much @0783ae358124012a4960033e2f606fb1:disqus for sharing that info. It’s good for our readers to know , since I didn’t discuss it. Because I’m a big fish eater I have run across that info on mercury and always get fish oil that comes from herring, anchovy, and sardines! These fish are high in EPA and DHA which are the most awesome Omega 3 fatty acids. I also take flax seed oil everyday pill form. Flax seed doesn’t contain EPA or DHA, but rather just ALA, LA, and OA. That’s why I take both!
Great vid! I have eczema so to combat it I use raw black soap to wash my skin and apply shea butter or coconut oil (both raw) while my skin is wet. My skin has thanked me for it because I get bad flare ups from time to time. Reg drugstore soap is the worsttt for me!
Thank you for sharing your regimen. I know many people who have eczema would love to know what combats it, especially all natural products! I know aloe has great benefits as well in combating eczema :).
Thanks for the info on healthy skin. Lately I haven’t been feeling the way my skin look and I was looking into getting new products and watching my diet. This was helpful thanks again.
P.S. I started following your blog in Feb. Love it!!!
Thank you so much @eb465bc6cd5f7a2325169786acc9ba80:disqus . We appreciate you and hope you can continue to get some good info from us! Muah!!!
Ahh thank you! I have been searching for different treatments for eczema since mine seems to be getting worse lately. I’ll give it a shot!
