While there’s no question that fashion week is a lot of fun, it can also be a lot of work. Whether you’re a model running to castings or a photographer trying to get the perfect street style snap, spending morning ’til night out in New York (or London, Milan, or Paris!) means having to have all your essentials in one place.
That’s why we asked these 13 fashion insiders what they keep in their bags during the insanity that is fashion week. From the lipstick that keeps them looking fresh to the charger that keeps them connected, no clutch, tote, or crossbody is complete without these must-have items.

What kind of bag do you prefer to use for getting around fashion week and why?
A midsize leather bucket or small leather backpack. I definitely need something larger than a purse but still small enough and compact so it can easily transition from day to evening.
What’s your favorite?

Yvonne Koné makes amazing leather bucket bags crafted in Italy in small to large sizes and an array of colors, while Brandon Blackwood makes the most beautiful leather backpack that even comes with a leather whale shaped coin pouch and keychain holder.
What do you always keep in your bag during fashion week?

Mobile charger: Microsoft’s xoopar charger is able to juice a computer up to six hours with a micro USB and dual USB outlet so you can share in the charging love with friends.
Flats or my favorite pair of sneakers, in particular my ‘limited edition NO. 20′ Matt Bernson white lo-cut leather sneakers with a built in sole cushion.
Sony NEX-5R Camera: has a compact body but takes regular size interchangeable lenses, which is perfect for my smaller size bag.
i-Phone, food, makeup bag!
Lexus card and number for the Lexus lounge: Thank the high high heavens Lexus has sponsored us a car and driver eight hours a day, seven days a week. This has made NYFW’s schedule extremely less frantic and the day soooooooooo much more seamless for my twin sister and I! Plus they have an amazing lounge with food, fresh squeezed juices and champagne for a quick reprieve before or after shows.
Cat frame pastel mauve Dita Sunglasses — they go with everything and spice up even conservative outfits in a more subtle way. Plus, they cover under eye bags in morning from late night events so you are ready for photographers for all of the morning shows.
Passport: On the go during fashion week means in and out of the country

What are your absolute essentials for traveling during fashion week?

Sneakers, moisturizer, food, water, phone, charger, camera, makeup bag, sunglasses, passport. I should have just said all of the above. My makeup bag is a front row essential since after shows there are a plethora of events and after-parties, which means I don’t have time to change and will need to do a quick refresher. My go to staples are lipcolor, powder, hydration spritz, mascara and under eye concealer. I am really really feeling MILK Makeup‘s new line. All of their products are made from Eco-friendly ingredients with hydrating properties. They have so many amazing products for someone on the go, so I can easily apply in the car and in between shows and look refreshed.
So I will be carrying their MILK Makeup cooling water hydration stick, oil lip stain, lip salve, highlighter stick, and gel brow, as well as my favorite under-eye concealer by Cinema Secrets, L’Oreal mascara and matte powder, plus NARS lip color in pink mauve, fuchsia or red tones. I love a very natural look with a pop of color.
