Photo by AAP. Hope your extended weekend was an enjoyable one and if you had to work, well I hope you at least had time to relax the previous days. Yesterday, I was beyond thrilled to see my photo featured online in New York Times Street Style Photos of the week. My lovely sister is an avid reader of the New York Times and knowing the huge, admiring-lover I am of all things style related thought I would be interested in submitting a photo for their style section, in which every week readers can submit photos of themselves or others based on the NY Times style theme of the week. The theme this week happened to be “Uniquely Shaped Shoes”. The New York Times then posts the best from all the submissions, therefore when I saw my photo I was very excited to say the least and wanted to share my excitement with all of you but let me rewind for a moment and give a shoutout to my man who was the one who captured the photo. Sometimes I can be a little strong-headed (or hardheaded as he prefers) in many aspects of my life, including something as harmless as taking pictures but without guilt, I completely place the blame on my Taurean sign, lol. On another note, also have to, have to, have to mention one of my absolute favorite photos from the submissions this week is of a young woman named Kimberly Frost from Richmond, Virginia, which I believe is the first pic and her shoes and style is heavenly sent in cloaked with a tough edge all while keeping the femininity factor. So, if your curiosity is tickled visit: to view all selected photos.

*I will make sure to include a style post of this look by the end of the week. Also, if you want to submit a photo of yourself to remember to check the Fashion & Style section for weekly updates for the style theme of the week.
